MY EXPERIENCE IN KARACHI HEAVY RAIN IN 2025

 

🌧️ My Experience in Heavenly rain in☔ Karachi

The Unexpected Downpour:

Yesterday, Karachi witnessed a heavy downpour that felt heavenly. The rain brought coolness after days of scorching heat, but along with relief, I also felt fear. As I looked out of the window, the raindrops fell so fast and forcefully that I was filled with worry.

Fear for My Loved Ones: 💔 

While the weather outside was pleasant, my heart was restless. My kids were at school, and my husband and sister were at work. I kept calling the van drivers, but no one picked up. As school time was ending, my fear grew stronger.
Still, I reminded myself that I had recited Ayat-ul-Kursi and placed my trust in Allah. Alhamdulillah, after some anxious moments, my kids reached home safely.
A Warm Family Gathering
When the children came home, I made fritters, tea, and potato snacks. We enjoyed them together. Later, my husband was delayed because of the rain, and I again asked my children to recite Ayat-ul-Kursi for his safety. Within moments, he called to say he was on his way.
Although I was very hungry and short of ingredients like tomatoes and yogurt, I decided to cook with whatever I had. Alhamdulillah, I made chicken pulao, my husband’s favorite dish. When he arrived, he was delighted, and soon my father joined us as well.

The Joy of Togetherness:

Later, we received a message that schools would remain closed the next day. My children cheered happily. It truly felt like family time — we were stuck at home, but we enjoyed gossiping, making jokes, and watching TV together.
The Other Side of the Rain
While our home was filled with warmth and laughter, the news outside was heartbreaking. Some people had not yet reached home. Others had lost their lives due to electric shocks and accidents, and some houses were destroyed. My heart broke for them, and I prayed:
“Ya Allah, save us today, tomorrow, and always.”

Final Thoughts: 🧐 

Rain is truly a blessing, but in Karachi, it also brings challenges. Despite the difficulties, I am thankful to Allah for protecting my family. The next day, my son’s exams were postponed, giving us even more family time.
